What Is the Average Man’s Wrist Size?

The average man’s wrist size is 7.25 inches. But really, almost every man’s wrist size falls in a range from 6.5 to 8 inches.

What Is the Average Bracelet Size For A Man?

So if you’re looking to buy a bracelet without being able to try it on, what’s your best bet for a size that will fit?

  • For a smaller fit that lays close to the skin, go for 7.5 to 8 inches.
  • For a looser, more casual fit, choose between 8 and 9 inches.

Of course, if your wrist is smaller or larger than average, you’ll need to adjust up or down to match.

How to Choose A Watch For Your Wrist Size

Maybe you’re in the market for a watch, and you’re not sure what size to get.

Getting a crisp, polished fit for your watch involves two things: Choosing the right band size, and matching your watch case diameter to your wrist size.

For the length of your watch band, choose one that’s about half an inch longer than your wrist size. So for an average guy with a 7.25 inch wrist, a 7.75 inch watch band should do the trick.

Your watch case diameter should be appropriately matched to the size of your wrist, too.

  • Smaller wrist sizes, from 6 to 6.5 inches, generally look better with smaller watch cases in the 34-38 mm range
  • Average wrists will look great with cases in the 38-42 mm range
  • Especially large wrists can match with the largest watch cases (42mm+)

Wrapping Up

Be sure to keep this in mind: The width of your watch band should be appropriate to the case diameter. In most cases, this means choosing a watch band that’s about half the width of the watch’s case diameter.
